Ann Gallagher grew up listening to her grandfather's stories about Ireland. After his death, she goes to the homeland of the deceased to scatter the ashes over the lake near the estate. Anne gets caught in a thunderstorm, and some mysterious force throws her back eighty years - to Ireland in 1921. There is a civil war going on in the country. Dr. Thomas Smith saves the girl, and thus helps her adapt to a completely different historical era. Together they join the fight for Irish independence. Anne falls in love with her savior. But is she ready to let go of her former life for the love she never expected to know? And is this choice really hers?
